Stuck at 6,000 Feet in the Talkeetna Mountains | Alaska Bush Flying
0:08 Nice little strip. How long do we think it is? The tire was definitely not as stuck. It gets a little soft over here.
2:20 You good, Deland? You're Brady? Yeah, I'm good.
4:40 That's good. Isn't that a flat spot up there on the riverbed? Just below the waterfall? Probably a little too far past the waterfall there. You're saying the main channel up there where it's kind of grassy? Yeah, like right here off your left channel. I'm…
7:41 Nice little strip. How long do we think it is? 1,500, Brady says. Definitely an easy place for a Cessna or a 206 or something like that. As long as you can fly them. You know, I don't think you'd want to be a brand new pilot coming up here. I know a guy…
10:57 See you guys soon. I see where you're turning off. Yeah, you're out ahead of me, Jerry. Have a smile. And I'm at 4.9. Oh, I'm just now at Beam Yellow Jacket, that big, huge one along the river.
13:48 It's a little soft over here. A little muddy. I was like, it felt soft way back there.
15:59 I got this rock. I'm going to scrape all this mud off of there so it doesn't go in the prop. Clearly, this tire was much deeper. You can see on that tire, it's almost up to the axle, and this one just barely made it to the axle. But the uphill tire was…
19:19 Well, guys, what a day. That was so much fun getting out, checking out a couple new spots, even though we got stuck in one of the spots. But that one's definitely on the map for another day. I will definitely be a little worried about going in there. But…
