Israel-bound flight makes emergency landing in Saudi Arabia after violent incident
0:00 We're going to begin this hour with some breaking news out of the Middle East. A commercial flight traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv forced to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia this morning, a warning some viewers might find the footage disturbing. A…
0:39 Yeah, Yasmin, so I'm at Ben Gurion International Airport. This is the main gateway to Israel, and there's a lot of press waiting for these passengers to arrive. But as far as we know, they're still stuck in Saudi Arabia. That is where they were diverted.…
1:29 All of those passengers are still in Saudi Arabia. We know that the Israelis said that they had actually scrambled jets after they heard from that jet that fly Dubai plane with a squawk signal saying that there had been a hijacking and the plane then…
2:19 Well, I wouldn't be surprised if the prime minister already knows everything about the co-pilot that did this. So here's what's concerning with this. We've been historically concerned with the threat coming from outside the cockpit. Historically, the concern…
2:56 So first, it's getting clarity on this co-pilot. Did he act independently? Did he do this on his own? Was there an actual altercation or is this something more terrorist related? That's one. Now, the other issue is we also heard them say that they broke the…
3:44 You know, it's interesting. I mean, they talk about screening of pilots, right, because the geopolitical situation in that region is changing every single day. And I know the Israeli police have not necessarily, as of this moment, ruled out terrorism. So how…
4:31 I don't know how they're going to do that in the government or in law enforcement. You do a thorough background check. You assess people's social media in the U.S. Secret Service and law enforcement agencies. We actually polygraph people and you ask them,…
5:19 terrorism, but things could change day to day, hour to hour as we see what is going on with multiple wars.
