Introducing Pilatus PC-12 PRO: The Most Advanced Single

De video begint bij de Pilatus-fabriek. De spreker, testpilot Patrick, zegt dat ze een brandnieuwe PC-12 Pro gaan testen. Hij noemt zichzelf project pilot voor het nieuwe PC-12 Pro-project en legt uit dat er een nieuwste generatie Garmin avionics en een integrated Garmin flight deck zijn geïntegreerd. Het systeem bestaat uit drie 14-inch touchscreen displays, drie PDUs en twee SDUs. Patrick zegt dat het systeem intuïtief is ontworpen voor low hour pilots en professional pilots. De verslaggever vraagt of dit hun flight plan is; ze bespreken takeoff runway 24, waypoints GERSA en 0,1,2,3, en destination Zameden.

Taxi over wegen en start
Voor de start taxiën ze over een paar wegen in Zwitserland om traffic light systems te activeren. Patrick gebruikt safe taxi op synthetic vision en kijkt naar auto's links en rechts. Na clearance voor takeoff runway 24 komt het toestel tot takeoff power, draait hij de neus om, gaat het gear up en komen flaps boven 100. Ze vliegen boven de mist.
Bergvlucht, automatische functies en landingen
Boven de bergen toont Patrick een terrain overlay: terrein op of boven hun altitude is rood, terrein op of net onder is brownish green. Hij toont ook datalink weather via SATCOM of VHF, frequency logic voor de volgende fase van flight, route wijzigen met touch en een radial menu voor airspace, waypoint of airport. In een simulatie daalt het toestel naar 8000 ft; autothrottle engageert wanneer de six-second trend in het rood gaat. Patrick toont roll ESP: bij 51 degrees bank rolt het systeem terug naar level flight. Later landt het toestel in Samadhan, waarna de verslaggever zegt dat ze na een hot chocolate de laatste sector vliegen naar Zurich International Airport. Patrick legt uit hoe Autoland werkt en laadt ILS 101-4 met minimums 1602. Het toestel vliegt approach, gaat gear down, flaps 15, en landt in Zurich. Na de landing bedankt de verslaggever Patrick.
