Excel Airways and Oxford Aviation Training are pleased to announce the 2006 programme for their established Airline Pilot Training Scheme. OAT created the very first ab-initio Integrated airline pilot training programme in 1964. Since then we have trained over 16,000 airline pilots who work for a multitude of airlines all over the world. The APP First Officer course is an entirely new version of ab-initio Integrated training launched in 2003, with the first course graduating in mid-2004. The OAT/Excel scheme provides the same high quality airline focused training that is the established hallmark of OAT’s Integrated training dating back to 1964, and adds to it certain key features, notably:

· A conditional offer of employment as a First Officer by Excel Airways

· A £60,000 bespoke loan from HSBC for those who meet the bank’s standard eligibility requirements

· Security of APP FO SkillsNET money back guarantee if you fail the early higher risk stages of the course

· Excel funded Type Rating

· Refund of your APP FO training and associated costs through employment with Excel Airways through pre-tax salary deduction



To qualify, you will need to meet the minimum entry requirements outlined below and pass the joint Excel Airways and OAT Skills and Aptitude Assessment.

· Hold an Advanced Certificate standard of education (A-Level or equivalent) in mathematics and a science-based subject

· Hold or be able to achieve a JAR-FCL Class 1 Medical Certificate

· Have an unrestricted right to live and work within the EU

· Be able to demonstrate commitment to a career as an airline pilot

· Show evidence of being a team player with identifiable potential for early command

· Be available to commence training at Oxford in November



We are unable to accept predicted grade reports; therefore, you must be able to provide copies of your final grade results no later than 4th September 2006. If you did not achieve an A-2 in maths and science, but studied maths and science on a University, Higher diploma, BTEC or International Baccalaureate course, use the additional information box at the bottom of the application to explain the relevant modules you took and why you think we should accept them in lieu of an A-2.
