English Proficiency DEADLINE EXTENDED UNTIL MARCH 2009 (FAA)
XDgb14· 22 mei
Ter Info (FAA) !
Effective March 5, 2008, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) requires the following certificate holders who operate internationally to have a certificate stating that the holder is proficient in the use of the English language:
Private, commercial, and airline transport pilots with powered aircraft ratings.
Flight engineers and flight navigators
Control tower operators
The ability to read, speak, write, and understand English is already a U.S. regulatory eligibility requirement; the FAA Registry began issuing all new certificates with this endorsement on February 11, 2008. The U.S. has notified ICAO that it filed a difference that will extend the U.S. compliance date until March 5, 2009, in order to provide sufficient time for all affected U.S. airman certificate holders to comply with the ICAO Language Proficiency airman certificate endorsement requirements.
Certificates that are ordered as regular replacement certificates will include the endorsement. You can order a replacement certificate on-line or by mail. You will be asked to register with Online Services if you don't already have an on-line account. Note that there is a $2 fee for replacement airmen certificates.
Airmen who request temporary authority or verification of their airman certificate will not have the English proficiency endorsement until the replacement certificate has been requested and the $2 fee paid. If you have questions, you may contact the Airmen Certification Branch toll-free at 1-866-878-2498.
For more information regarding ICAO English proficiency, refer to Information for Operators (InFO) 08012 at the All InFOs page.

Opmerking: de ICAO English Language endorsement, wordt op het Airmen Certificate (FAA), onder Limits aangeduid als "ENGLISH PROFICIENT" ;)

Ja mooi hé :D
"Your request for a replacement certificate(s) has been accepted.
You should receive your certificate in approximately two weeks."
Thanks for using the Airmen Service Site :)

To protect your privacy and provide security in the issuance of your certificate, we require that you furnish photo identification information when requesting a replacement certificate through our Airmen Services page. At this time, Airmen Certificates do not contain a photo.
Ik denk dat er bij jouw "Does not meet language proficiency requirement in accordance with para 1.2.9.4 of ICAO Annex 1 for radiotelephony communications in English" op komt :haha:

Beste GBOF,

"ATC: XXX Say Speed, XXX: Speed"
"ATC: XXX Say Your Intensions, XXX: to Uhhhh become uhhhh a Uhhhh Professional Uhhhh Pilot Uhhhh once"
"XXX Request Taxi Instructions, ATC: XXX release the brakes, add some power and when rolling press the left lower pedal ..........."
NEEN (Althans niet in NL)
Precies :traantjes
Het FAA no-nonsense K(eep) I(t) S(tupid) S(imple) principe :)

For Operational Level (Level 4), ICAO is recommending an individual demonstration interval evaluation every three years :traantjes

To satisfy the ICAO language proficiency endorsement requirement, on February 11, 2008, the FAA is making available replacement certificates for affected airmen with the additional endorsement – “English Proficient”.
All affected airman certificate holders are considered to have met the ICAO English language proficiency requirements based on the eligibility requirements of parts 61, 63 and 65.
The FAA’s issuance of an “English Proficient” endorsement on a U.S. airman certificate attests that the airman meets the Level 4 operational standards found in ICAO Annex 1.
All affected airmen have until March 5, 2009 to comply with this requirement and we encourage airmen to apply for a replacement certificate as soon as possible.
The FAA is not changing its certification standard or basic process as to how our designated examiners and inspectors conduct FAA English proficiency and fluency eligibility evaluations ;)
