Fokker Services launches FUTURE program for the Fokker 50-aircraft
Aircraft Financing & Trading, Denim Air and Fokker Services sign LOI for joint market approach. Today at the 1st Worldwide Fokker 50 Customer Conference, Fokker Services launched the FUTURE50 program to re-market Fokker 50's that have recently become available and will become available in the future. FUTURE50 is a program of which the key vendors are committed to, such as Pratt & Whitney Canada, Honeywell, Dowty Propellers, Messier Dowty and Aircraft Braking Systems Corporation. Through the FUTURE 50 program, these companies will guarantee service, spare parts and support for at least the next ten years.
"Operators want the best transport solution to fit their business plan. Under the FUTURE50 program, operators can get a tailored total care program, good technical dispatch and a fixed competitive fee based on flight hours," explained Erik Goedhart, Fokker Services Vice President of Marketing & Sales. With operators looking to rationalize costs, the economic arguments for keeping a Fokker 50 in the air or adding one to a fleet are very strong. The FUTURE50 offers operating costs that are competitive and predictable. In addition, operators can reduce the amount of working capital needed for an operational start up. Major Fokker 50 lessors are providing advantageous leasing programs making the Fokker 50 one of the most competitive aircraft in its seating class. Even though Fokker 50 production stopped in 1996, operators can still benefit from the latest and most advanced technology available. The FUTURE50 partners are continuously investing in their Fokker 50 products. With their support, the aircraft's engines, brakes, propellers and avionics can remain state of the art. In addition to its role as a civilian aircraft, the Fokker 50 can be converted to military or maritime patrol roles. The FUTURE50 is the second such program initiated by Fokker Services. The first program FUTURE100, which was based on the Fokker 100, was launched in February 2003. The response from the market and the renewed interest in the Fokker 100 has been tremendous. As a result, Fokker 100's are rapidly being converted to new operators for service re-entry. During the FUTURE50 conference an LOI was signed between Aircraft Financing & Trading, Denim Air and Fokker Services. Parties intend to organise, develop and implement a joint market approach towards FUTURE50. This joint market approach could include public relation activities and / or other activities, which would benefit the overall market position of the Fokker 50 aircraft in general and / or of the Parties in particular. Fokker Services is a part of the Stork Aerospace group. In 2002 this group (3,225 employees) realised EUR 411 million sales out of the EUR 2 billion total sales of Stork.
