Hi-Line transfer procedure by Belgian Air Force NH90 SAR.

Gepubliceerd op 25 jun. 2019

During a rescue,
t can happen that you end up in a situation where help from third parties is essential.

If such a situation occurs at a great distance from the coast,
then in many cases this assistance is provided by means of. a rescue helicopter.

This video describes the hi-line procedure.

This technique is often used with sailing ships,
very small vessels and vessels with a high structure
where it becomes difficult to deposit the Sar Diver and Sar Medic on board.

The video describes the procedure used by
the helicopter crews of the 40th Smd Sar / Mar of Koksijde airbase.
